This project involved the complete renovation of an awkward and worn out property on the outskirts of Vilamoura in a way as to minimize planning permission and to keep costs down while providing a holiday home with all that is needed .Everything was stripped out and rebuilt including all doors,windows,flooring,electrics,plumbing,drainage,kitchens and bathrooms.The layout of the property was considerably altered involving the demolition and construction of walls,arches and door and window openings.The existing terrace area was enclosed with a timber partition to form a new internal space and some decking and a pergola were added to the exterior.The villa was then fitted with air-conditioning throughout.
The doors and windows were replaced with uPVC imported from the UK.The flooring was sourced locally in the Algarve.The whole property was rewired and re plumbed with Multipex.The existing blocked septic tank was replaced with a modern system with soak away to UK specifications.The kitchen was imported from Symphony in the UK and the bathrooms were crafted using local materials and fitted with suspended toilets.
